At Echelon, Recovery Is the Advantage

Recovery studio Fort Mill SC

Echelon was created for people who train hard, work hard, and expect their recovery to keep up.

Modern stress doesn’t just come from training harder. It comes from constant stimulation, cognitive load, and a nervous system that never fully powers down. Most recovery options don’t address that.

We built Echelon as a recovery system — pairing contrast therapy, infrared heat, halotherapy, and light therapy into guided, evidence-based experiences designed to regulate the nervous system, accelerate recovery, and support long-term resilience.

Every experience takes place in a private suite, delivered with intention and precision, so your body can recover without crowds, pressure, or distraction.

This isn’t about pushing further. It’s about recovering smarter — so you can perform, think, and live at your peak more consistently.

Recovery x Science

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Echelon was founded by two Fort Mill–based healthcare leaders who have spent decades working with bodies under stress — not trends.

Dr. Jessica Mendelsohn, MD, and Dr. Noah Zacharko, DPT, bring more than 40 years of combined clinical experience in medicine, physical therapy, and performance care. Their work has centered on one truth: recovery only works when it’s grounded in physiology and applied with intention.

Echelon is the next evolution of that philosophy — a recovery space built on clinical insight, evidence-based protocols, and a deep understanding of how modern stress affects the nervous system.

This isn’t wellness theater. It’s a system designed to help your body regulate, recover, and perform more efficiently — guided by people who understand both the science and the lived reality of high-functioning lives.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Contrast therapy alternates between hot and cold treatments—like infrared saunas and cold plunges—to boost circulation, reduce muscle soreness, and accelerate recovery. It helps the body adapt to temperature shifts, reducing inflammation and improving energy levels.

  • Salt therapy, or halotherapy, immerses you in a salt-infused environment to promote respiratory health, improve skin clarity, and reduce stress. It’s a natural, relaxing way to support your overall well-being.

  • Cold plunge therapy uses icy water immersion to reduce inflammation, ease sore muscles, and boost circulation. It’s especially popular among athletes and those looking to speed up muscle recovery between workouts.

  • Infrared heat penetrates deep into muscles and joints, promoting detoxification, relaxation, and pain relief. Our 50-minute sessions leave you feeling recharged and refreshed.

  • Stay hydrated and eat a light snack beforehand for optimal comfort. Wear loose clothing, especially if combining multiple therapies. Make sure your body is free of lotions and oils to ensure maximum aborbtion of the therapies.

  • Mild soreness, fatigue, or skin redness can occur, especially after contrast therapy. These effects are temporary and indicate your body is responding to the treatment.

  • Switching between heat and cold—known as contrast therapy—triggers a strong recovery response. Heat relaxes muscles and improves circulation, while cold reduces inflammation and prevents soreness. Together, they flush toxins, deliver oxygen-rich blood to muscles, and speed up healing.

  • Yes, light therapy is safe for all skin types. It doesn’t cause burns or UV damage and helps with healing and cellular repair.

  • Book a session and buy a membership online or at our front desk. We offer customizable packages, allowing you to combine therapies for a complete recovery and wellness plan.

  • We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early for every visit to allow time for check-in and to discuss any questions or preferences with our team. We cannot accommodate arrivals 10 minutes past appointment time.

If you stay beyond your reserved time, a $30 late exit fee will apply.

  • Absolutely! Many clients find that combining therapies, like a contrast therapy session followed by a light bed session, enhances their recovery in many ways. Our team can recommend combinations based on your goals.

  • We recommend booking at least a week in advance to secure your preferred time, especially during peak hours or when combining multiple services. If you book even earlier, you’ll have more options available, making it easier to find the perfect appointment time that fits your schedule.

  • We welcome walk-ins if we have availability, though we recommend scheduling online to ensure you can enjoy your desired services without delay.

  • Echelon Contrast Suites, LLC has a 6-hour appointment cancellation window. If you do not cancel your appointment within 6 hours of your appointment start time, you will incur a $30 late cancellation fee. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be charged the full single session price and/or lose credit for that service if you are enrolled in a membership, package or have prepaid for that service.

  • We recommend staying hydrated and avoiding heavy meals directly before your session. Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks for best results.

  • All services require a minimum age of 16 years and parental consent for any person under the age of 18.
